What you’re probably dealing with

  • You can’t close on a new build until the septic is in
  • Your existing system is failing and you need a replacement, not a patch
  • You don’t want to deal with permits, inspectors, and three different contractors
  • You’ve been quoted vague numbers with no scope
  • You need someone who’ll coordinate with your perc test and builder

How we solve it

  • TDEC-permitted septic installs for new builds and replacements
  • We walk you through the permit process and coordinate with your perc test results and the local inspector
  • Same crew handles clearing, site prep, and septic if you need a full bundle
  • Clear written scope and price before any digging starts
  • Backed by the same reputation as Gravel Driveway Recovery

What We Bring To A Septic Job

Equipment, experience, and a real team

The septic jobs that get done right have three things in common: the right excavator for the soil, a crew that follows the perc and engineer’s plan, and a single point of contact from the permit application through final inspection. That’s how PGS runs septic work.

CAT 305-07CR and CAT 308-08CR mini excavators staged for a PGS septic installation

The right excavator for the job

CAT 305-07CR for tight access and detail work. CAT 308-08CR for deeper digs and longer reach. Both get used on septic installs depending on site conditions.

Richard, owner of PGS, on a jobsite with a CAT compact track loader

Owner on the job

Richard is personally involved from the first estimate through final inspection. If something needs a decision on-site, the decision-maker is already there.

Common Questions

The uncomfortable questions, answered

Do I need a perc test before you start?

Yes. The perc test determines what kind of system the soil can support. If you don’t have one yet, we can point you to the local inspector or arrange the test for you.

How much does a septic install cost?

It depends on system type, soil class, and lot conditions. Most residential installs are quoted as a project. After we see your perc results we’ll give you a clear written number.

How long does a septic install take?

Most residential installs run 2 to 5 days from breaking ground to inspection sign-off. Weather and inspector availability can shift that.

Do you handle the permit?

TDEC (Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation) issues the install permit directly to you as the homeowner. It has to be in your name, not ours. But you don’t have to figure the process out alone. We walk you through the paperwork, coordinate with your perc test and the local environmental health inspector, and handle everything on our side so nothing falls through the cracks. You own the permit; we do the legwork.

Can you replace a failed system?

Yes. Replacements often involve removing the old system and installing a new drain field in a different area. We’ll walk it with you and explain what’s realistic.
