“We previously had Gravel Driveway Recovery come out and resurface our driveway. We were so impressed that we contacted Richard again and had them come back out and do Forestry Mulching to give us easier access to the creek and meadow around…”

From Gravel Driveway Recovery. Same crew, same standards. We bill at $250 per hour portal-to-portal with the CAT 275XE and HM418 mulcher. Most residential jobs run between half a day and two days depending on density and acreage. We’ll give you a clear estimate after walking the property.
It depends entirely on what’s growing. Light brush can run 1 to 2 hours per acre. Heavy cedar or thick saplings can run 4 to 6 hours per acre. We’ll be straight with you after we see it.
The mulch layer suppresses regrowth for one to two seasons. For long-term control, a follow-up mulching pass or selective herbicide treatment may be needed. We’ll talk you through your options.
The HM418 head handles trees up to about 8 inches comfortably. Larger trees can be felled separately and mulched, or removed by our excavators. We’ll plan it out before we start.
In most cases, we keep working. Forestry mulching is one of the few earthwork jobs that holds up in rain. The mulcher moves through wet brush fine, and the mulch layer itself protects the soil underneath from rutting. We’ll only reschedule for standing water, severe storms, or lightning. Steady rain usually means we stay on schedule while the bulldozer crews are stuck waiting for dry weather.
